Heavenly Fruit Cup
|Sliced white grapes||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Miniature marshmallows||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Pineapple tidbits||1 Can (10 oz), drained (2.5 Cups)|
|Sliced bananas||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Lemon||1 , squeezed and poured over bananas|
|Nuts||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
Prepare fruit dressing and chill before adding to salad.
Mix 2 tbs.cornstarch and 1/2 cup sugar in double boiler.
Stir in 2 cups pineapple juice and cook over hot water until smooth and thick, stirring constantly from 8 to 10 minutes.
Add small amount to 2 beaten eggs, then add to mixture and cook 2 minutes more, stirring carefully.
Whip 1 cup of whipping cream.
Chill whipping cream and fruit dressing and pour over fruit mixture.
Note: bananas and whipping cream may be added just before serving.
