Easy Fruit Filled Whole Wheat Ring
|Dates||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), pitted and chopped|
|Seedless raisins||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Wheat germ||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Orange||1 , rind grated|
|Lemon||1 , rind grated|
|Fresh fruit||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs), mashed|
Mix all ingredients together.
After spreading filling over dough, roll up as for jelly roll.
Shape into a circle on oiled cookie sheet.
Make cuts on top of ring to expose filling.
Cover and set in warm place to rise again for 1 hour.
Brush with oil.
Bake at 375Â° F. for about 30 minutes.
