Any Old Fruit" Loaves

  Home-canned fruit 1 Quart, undrained
  Sugar 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Oil 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Flour 4 Cup (64 tbs)
  Soda 4 Teaspoon
  Cinnamon 4 Teaspoon
  Nutmeg 2 Teaspoon
  Cloves 3⁄4 Teaspoon
  Nuts 1 Cup (16 tbs), chopped
  Raisins 1 Cup (16 tbs)

Use old canned fruit (discolored but not spoiled). Puree it in a blender or food mill. Measure 4 cups. Mix together sugar and oil. Sift together dry ingredients. Add to sugar-oil mixture alternately with pureed fruit. Add nuts and raisins. Mix well. Pour into loaf pans that have been greased and floured. Bake about 1 hour, or until cake tests done. Let cool in pans 10 minutes. Turn out on cooling rack. To use same recipe for cake, bake in a 9 X13 X 2-inch pan about 45 minutes. Frost, when cool, with Cream Cheese Frosting.
