Frosty Strawberry Squares
|Sifted flour||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Brown sugar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Nuts||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), chopped|
|Butter||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), melted|
|Sugar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Strawberries||2 Cup (32 tbs), sliced|
|Lemon juice||2 Tablespoon|
|Whipping cream||1 Cup (16 tbs), whipped|
Combine flour, brown sugar, nuts and butter, mixing well.
Spread evenly in shallow baking pan.
Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Sprinkle 2/3 of the crumbs in 13 x 9-inch baking pan.
Combine egg whites, sugar, berries and lemon juice in large bowl; beat with electric mixer at high speed until stiff peaks form.
Fold in whipped cream.
Spoon over crumbs; top with remaining crumbs.
Cut into 12 squares.
Garnish with whole strawberries.
