Mixed Fruit Tzimmes

Ingredients
  Dried apricots 1⁄2 Pound
  Dried pears 1⁄2 Pound
  Unsweetened prunes 1⁄2 Pound
  Brisket 3 Pound
  Salt 2 Teaspoon
  Pepper 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Carrots 8 , quartered
  Thin lime slices/Lemon slices 6
  Orange juice 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Water 4 Cup (64 tbs)
  Honey 4 Tablespoon
Directions

GETTING READY
1. Preheat oven at 350° F.
2. Wash the apricots, pears and prunes. Soak all in cold water and cover for 1 hour. Drain.

MAKING
3. In a Dutch oven or casserole, take meat. Brown it over medium flame.
4. Add salt and pepper.
5. Place fruit, carrots and lime around it decoratively.
6. In a bowl, take orange juice, water and honey. Mix it well.
7. Pour it over the earlier meat mixture.
8. Cover and bake it in an oven at 350° F for 3 hours.
9. Uncover and increase temperature to 400° F.
10. Bake it for an hour longer. If need be, add little water.

SERVING
11. Serve Mixed Fruit Tzimmes hot.
