Christmas Fruit Kabobs
|Fresh pineapple||1⁄2 , trimmed and cut into 1-inch chunks|
|Kiwifruit||4 , peeled and cut into 1-inch pieces|
|Navel oranges||3 , peeled and sectioned|
|Apples||3 Medium, cut into 1 inch pieces|
|Firm bananas||3 Medium, cut into 1-inch pieces|
|Canned maraschino cherries||10 Ounce, drained (1 Jar)|
|Maple syrup/Honey||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Lemon juice||2 Tablespoon|
|Whipping cream||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs), whipped|
Alternately thread fruit onto skewers.
Cover and refrigerate until serving.
In a saucepan over low heat, cook and stir the egg yolk and syrup until a thermometer reads 160°.
Remove from the heat; stir in lemon juice.
Fold in the whipped cream.
Serve with fruit for dipping.
Refrigerate any leftovers.
