Christmas Fruit Kabobs

Ingredients
  Fresh pineapple 1⁄2 , trimmed and cut into 1-inch chunks
  Kiwifruit 4 , peeled and cut into 1-inch pieces
  Navel oranges 3 , peeled and sectioned
  Apples 3 Medium, cut into 1 inch pieces
  Firm bananas 3 Medium, cut into 1-inch pieces
  Canned maraschino cherries 10 Ounce, drained (1 Jar)
For sauce:
  Egg yolk 1
  Maple syrup/Honey 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Lemon juice 2 Tablespoon
  Whipping cream 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs), whipped
Directions

Alternately thread fruit onto skewers.
Cover and refrigerate until serving.
In a saucepan over low heat, cook and stir the egg yolk and syrup until a thermometer reads 160°.
Remove from the heat; stir in lemon juice.
Cool completely.
Fold in the whipped cream.
Serve with fruit for dipping.
Refrigerate any leftovers.
