Hot Mustard Fruits
|Firmly packed light brown sugar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Prepared spicy brown mustard||3 Tablespoon|
|Canned peaches||1 Cup (16 tbs), drained|
|Drained canned apricot halves||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Canned pineapple slices||1 Cup (16 tbs), cut in half|
Preheat oven to 325° F.
Melt butter in a small saucepan over low heat, add sugar and mustard, and heat and stir about 5 minutes until sugar dissolves.
Place fruits in an ungreased shallow 1-quart casserole and pour in mustard mixture.
Bake, uncovered, 1/2 hour, stirring and basting fruits once or twice.
Serve as a vegetable substitute.
