Fresh & Tasty Fruit Compote

Ingredients
  Sugar 175 Gram (3/4 Cup)
  Water 250 Milliliter (1 Cup)
  Fresh mixed fruit 2 Pound, pitted and prepared (Plums, Cherries, Blueberries, Apricots, Red Currants And Black Currants)
  Cinnamon stick piece 2 Inch
  Arrowroot 1 Teaspoon (Leveled)
  White wine 65 Milliliter (1/4 Cup)
Directions

Put the sugar and water in a saucepan, stir to dissolve the sugar, and boil for 5 minutes.
Add the fruit to the syrup with the cinnamon and simmer gently for 5 minutes.
Using a slotted spoon, remove the fruit to a serving dish.
Blend the arrowroot with the wine in a cup and stir it into the syrup.
Increase the heat and boil for 1 minute.
Remove the pan from the heat and let the syrup cool.
Strain the syrup over the fruit.
