Fresh Fruit Compote

Ingredients
  Light corn syrup 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Orange juice 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Whole cloves 4
  Ginger 1⁄8 Teaspoon
  Grated orange rind 1 Tablespoon
  Fresh fruit 1 Quart (Sliced, Cubed, Or Small Whole)
Directions

1. Combine light corn syrup, orange juice, cloves and ginger in a 1 1/2 -quart saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat and boil
5 minutes.
2. Remove from heat. Remove cloves. Stir in orange rind.
3. Pour over fruit in a serving bowl. Chill well before serving..
