Ice Cream Souffle With Grand Grand Marnier Sauce
|Vanilla ice cream||1 Quart|
|Almond macaroons crumbled||8|
|Grand marnier liqueur||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Whipped heavy cream||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Fresh strawberries||1 Quart, washed and hulled|
|Sugar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Grand marnier||2 Tablespoon|
Let the ice cream stand in the refrigerator an hour to soften a little.
In a bowl blend the softened ice cream with the macaroon crumbs, Grand Marnier, and whipped cream.
Freeze in refrigerator tray.
Just before serving time combine the well-drained berries with the sugar and cook over low heat until the sugar dissolves and the berries are hot and have just begun to soften.
Remove from the heat and stir in the Grand Marnier.
Pour the hot sauce over the ice cream and serve at once.
