Apple Nut Squares

Ingredients
  Egg 1 , beaten
  Sugar 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Vanilla 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Sifted all purpose flour 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Salt 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Baking powder 1 Teaspoon
  Chopped unpared tart apples 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Broken california walnuts 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
Directions

Combine egg, sugar, and vanilla.
Sift together dry ingredients; add to egg mixture and blend well.
Stir in apples, and nuts.
Spread in greased 8x8x2-inch baking dish.
Bake at 350° for 30 minutes or till done.
Cut in squares.
