|Pomegranate juice||1 Quart|
|Fresh lime juice||3 Tablespoon|
|Unflavored gelatin||1 Tablespoon (1 Envelope)|
|Cold water||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Fresh lemon juice||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Sugar||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Water||4 Cup (64 tbs)|
To obtain pomegranate juice, remove pomegranate seeds, making sure no yellow membrane remains.
Place seeds in several thicknesses of cheesecloth.
Crush seeds and drain off juice.
Mix juice with lime juice.
Sprinkle gelatin on cold water.
Let stand for 5 minutes.
Place over low heat until gelatin is dissolved.
Add gelatin with remaining ingredients to the pomegranate juice.
Stir until sugar is dissolved.
Add red coloring, if desired.
Pour into container of crank freezer and freeze until firm.
