Dissolve gelatin in 2 cups boiling water.
Add frozen strawberries to gelatin; break up and stir to completely thaw strawberries.
Stir in 1 cup cold water.
Chill till partially set (consistency of unbeaten egg whites).
Fold bananas into partially set gelatin.
Pour into 8x8x2-inch pan.
Chill till almost firm.
In mixer bowl combine pudding mix and milk; beat till smooth.
Beat in sour cream.
Spread pudding mixture over gelatin mixture.
Chill for several hours or overnight or till firm.
