Holiday Fruit Drops
|Shortening||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Packed brown sugar||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Soured milk/Buttermilk/water||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), soured|
|Gold medal flour||3 1⁄2 Cup (56 tbs)|
|Broken pecans||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Candied cherries||2 Cup (32 tbs), halved|
|Cut up dates||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
Mix shortening, sugar, and eggs well.
Stir in soured milk.
Measure flour by dipping method or by sifting.
Blend dry ingredients; stir in.
Stir in pecans, cherries, and dates.
Chill at least 1 hr.
