Red And White Fruit Mould
|Fruit cocktail||1 Pound (2 Cups)|
|Gelatin||1 Tablespoon (Raspberry Or Strawberry Flavored, 1 Package)|
|Lemon flavored gelatin||1 Tablespoon (1 Package)|
|Boiling water||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Canned frozen lemonade concentrate||6 Ounce (1 Can)|
|Mayonnaise/Salad dressing||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
Drain fruit cocktail, reserving syrup.
Add water to syrup to make 2 cups.
Heat 1 cup of mixture to boiling; add raspberry gelatin and stir to dissolve.
Then add remaining syrup mixture.
Pour gelatin mixture into a 6 1/2- or 7-cup mold, or pour equal amounts into individual molds.
Chill till firm.
Meanwhile dissolve lemon gelatin in 1 cup boiling water; add lemonade concentrate.
Blend in mayonnaise.
Chill till partially set; then stir in fruit cocktail.
Pour over first layer and chill till firm.
To match picture, unmold large salad on platter and circle with fruits, including Frosted Grapes.
Tuck in mint.
Pass a bowlful of Red-currant Dressing.
Unmold individual salads on rings of pineapple, if desired, and trim each with a ruffle of leaf lettuce.
For elegance, serve salads on platter centered with luscious, fruit-filled Honeydew Bowl.
Pass muffins, toasted crackers.
