Cinnamon Apple Rings
|Water||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Red cinnamon candies||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Sugar||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Cooking apples||4 Small, cored and cut crosswise into rings 1/2 inch thick|
For syrup, in 10-inch skillet combine water, candies and sugar.
Cook and stir over medium heat till candies dissolve and liquid boils.
Add apple rings to syrup.
Simmer, uncovered, for 15 to 20 minutes or till tender, stirring and spooning syrup over apples occasionally.
Cool apple rings in syrup.
Drain to serve.
