Kolache Pohe (puffed Rice With Tamarind And Coconut Milk)

This is the typical snack from Maharashtra Kokan/western coastal side.
Ingredients
  Soaked puffed rice/Soaked thick poha 1 Cup (16 tbs) (Thick Variety, Soaked For 20- 25 Minutes)
  Tamarind juice 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs), soak dry tamarind in hot water for 20-25 min and extract juice
  Coconut milk 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), grind 1 cup shredded coconut in blender and extract juice
  Green chilies 5 , cut into pieces
  Cumin seeds 1 Teaspoon (For Tempering)
  Asafoetida 1 Pinch
  Chopped cilantro 1 Tablespoon
  Clarified butter/Ghee / oil 2 Tablespoon
  Jaggery 1 Small (About Size Of Lemon)
  Salt To Taste
Directions

Mix jaggery in tamarind juice till it gets fully dissolved in it. Add this tamarind juice and
coconut milk to socked puffed rice. Add salt to taste and keep aside. Heat the oil/ghee and add cumin seeds (till turn golden brown),chillies and asephotida to the heated oil. Add this mixture over socked puffed rice mixture and mix well. If the mixture turn out be dry and thick till you make tampering, add little more 3-4 tbsp warm water. Add cilantro on top and its is ready for sweet and sour snack.
