Banana Squares

  Butter 6 Tablespoon, softened
  Firmly packed brown sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Egg 1
  Vanilla 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Banana 1 Large, mashed
  All purpose flour 1 3⁄4 Cup (28 tbs)
  Baking powder 1 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Walnuts 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), chopped
  Butterscotch-flavored pieces 6 Ounce (or 1 cup raisins)

In large bowl of an electric mixer, beat butter and sugar until creamy; beat in egg, vanilla, and banana.
In another bowl, stir together flour, baking powder, and salt; gradually add to butter mixture, blending thoroughly.
Stir in walnuts and butterscotch chips.
Spread batter evenly in a greased 9-inch square baking pan.
Bake in a 350° oven for 35 to 40 minutes or until golden brown.
Let cool in pan on a rack, then cut into 2 1/4-inch squares.
Store airtight
