Rosy Apple Rings

Ingredients
  Water 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Seedless raisins 2 Tablespoon
  Red apple 6 Small
Directions

1. Bring water and raisins to a boil in large skillet. Reduce heat, simmer 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
2. Wash and core apples. Do not peel. Cut thin slice off top and bottom of each apple; discard.
3. Slice apples in half crosswise to make thick rings. Add to raisin-water mixture and cook slowly 5 to 7 minutes. Turn apples and cook until soft. Do not overcook. (Cooking time will vary with type of apple and thickness of slice.)
