Fresh Fruit Compote
|Sugar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Water||4 Cup (64 tbs)|
|Apples||2 , peeled, cored, and quartered|
|Peaches||2 , peeled and quartered|
|Pears||2 , peeled, cored, and quartered|
|Plums||3 , pitted and quartered|
|Cherries||1⁄4 Pound, pitted|
|Lemon juice||2 Tablespoon|
|Cinnamon sticks||3 (About 2 Inch)|
|Fresh strawberries||1 Cup (16 tbs), hulled|
Combine sugar and water in a large saucepan; bring to a boil.
Add apples, peaches, pears, plums, cherries, lemon juice, and cinnamon sticks.
Cook over medium heat 10 minutes, stirring occasionally; cool.
Stir in strawberries, and chill.
