Snacking Applesauce Cake Squares
|Butter/Margarine||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs), softened|
|Frozen unsweetened apple juice concentrate||2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs), thawed|
|Unsweetened applesauce||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|All purpose flour||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Baking powder||2 Teaspoon|
|Ground cinnamon||2 Teaspoon|
|Baking soda||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Cooking apple||1 Large, peeled and chopped|
|Creamy topping||1 Cup (16 tbs) (Adjust Quantity As Needed)|
Preheat oven to 375°F.
Grease 8- or 9-inch square baking pan.
Beat butter in large bowl until creamy.
Blend in eggs, apple juice concentrate and applesauce.
Combine dry ingredients.
Gradually add to egg mixture, beating until well blended.
Stir in apple.
Spread batter evenly into prepared pan.
Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.
Cool on wire rack.
Cut into squares; serve warm or at room temperature with Creamy Topping, if desired.
