In a small mixer bowl beat egg whites until foamy. Gradually add sugar and salt beat until stiff peaks form. In a small saucepan heat corn syrup to boiling. Slowly pour hot corn syrup over beaten egg whites beating constantly. Add peppermint extract and food

Peppermint Butter Frosting
Preheat oven to 450 . Make frosting as package directs. Add peppermint extract. Spread between layers and on top and sides of cool chocolate or other cake. Press marshmallow halves into top frosting. Bake for 8 minutes.
