Honey Nougat Frosting
MAKING 1.In a boiler boil the honey for 10 minutes 238 F. 2.Remove from the fire and cool while the egg whites are beaten stiff 3.Then pour the honey in a thin stream over them beating the mixture constantly until thick enough to spread 4.Cool before spreading
Boil honey for 10 minutes on moderate heat then cool. Beat egg whites stiff pour honey into them in thin stream beating constantly until thick. Cool before spreading.
Put the unbeaten egg whites honey and salt into the top of a double boiler over hot water. Beat with a hand beater or an electric beater on low speed while you bring the water to a boil. Continue to beat for 7 minutes or until the mixture forms soft mounds.
Seven Minute Frosting With Honey
Add salt to honey and cook to 238 F. or until honey will spin thread or make soft ball when dropped into cold water. Pour hot honey in thin stream over egg whites beating meanwhile with rotary beater until all honey has been added and frosting stands in peaks.
