|Sugar||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Corn syrup||1 Tablespoon|
Combine sugar, salt, syrup and egg whites in top of double boiler; stir.
Add 4 1/2 tablespoons water.
Place over boiling water for 7 minutes, beating con- stantly.
Remove from heat; add vanilla.
Beat thor- oughly with rotary beater or electric mixer on high speed until icing stands in stiff peaks.
