Mint Julep Frosting
|Sugar||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Cream of tartar||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Water||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Mint extract/Peppermint extract||1 Teaspoon|
|Green food color||3 Drop|
1 In top of double boiler, put all ingredients, except extract and food color.
2 Using electric mixer or rotary beater, beat for 1 minute with electric mixer.
3 Cook over boiling water, beating constantly for 7 minutes or until peaks form.
4 Remove from the heat.
5 Stir in extract and a few drops food color.
6 Continue beating until the mixture reaches spreading consistency.
7 Use as desired.
