|Unsweetened chocolate||3 Ounce|
|Powdered sugar||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Milk||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Vanilla extract||1 Teaspoon|
In a medium saucepan, melt shortening and chocolate over low heat.
Stir in powdered sugar, salt, milk and vanilla; beat until smooth.
Place saucepan in a bowl of ice water.
Continue beating to spreading consistency.
Fills and frosts one 2-layer, 8- or 9-inch cake.
