|Butter/Margarine||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Semi-sweet chocolate pieces||6 Ounce (1 Package Or 1 Cup)|
|Granulated sugar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Milk||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Powdered sugar||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Vanilla extract||1 Teaspoon|
|Milk||2 Tablespoon (If Needed)|
In a medium saucepan, combine butter or margarine with chocolate pieces, granulated sugar, milk and salt.
Bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
Simmer 3 minutes.
Remove from heat.
Stir in powdered sugar and vanilla.
Beat until smooth.
If frosting becomes too thick to spread, add a tablespoon or two of milk.
Fills and frosts one 2-layer, 8- or 9-inch cake.
