|Tart jelly||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Egg white||1 , unbeaten|
|Granulated sugar||4 Tablespoon|
Place jelly in bowl over hot water, and melt.
Add egg white, sugar, and salt, and beat with an egg beater until mixture is stiff enough to stand in peaks.
Then remove from hot water and continue beating until cool enough to spread on cake.
Makes enough frosting to cover tops and sides of two 9" layers or an 8" x 8" x 2" cake.
