Quick Broiler Coconut Frosting
|Butter/Margarine / vegetable shortening||3 Tablespoon|
|Granulated sugar||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Top milk/Evaporated milk||2 Tablespoon|
|Shredded coconut||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs) (Moist / Dry)|
|Vanilla extract||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
Work together the butter and sugar with a spoon until light.
Then add milk, coconut and vanilla.
Spread over top surface of an 8" x 8" x 2" or 9" x 9 x 2" cake, or an 8" or 9" cake layer which has cooled 5 min after baking.
Broil until coconut is delicately browned, taking care not to let the sugar mixture burn., Serve hot or cool, cutting cake in the pan.
