|Brown sugar||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|White sugar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Cream/Evaporated milk||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Light corn syrup||1 1⁄2 Tablespoon|
1. Combine all the ingredients in a saucepan. Place over heat and stir until the sugar is dissolved and the mixture begins to boil; continue boiling about 3 minutes without stirring until the mixture forms a soft ball when a little is dropped into a cup of cold water, 238° F.
2. Remove from the heat. Let it cool to lukewarm. Add the vanilla and continue beating until of proper consistency to spread. Frosting or icing for tops and sides of 2 9-inch layers, or 24 cupcakes.
