|Sifted powdered sugar||2 1⁄2 Cup (40 tbs)|
In a small mixer bowl beat butter or margarine with an electric mixer on medium speed till light and fluffy. Gradually add about half of the powdered sugar, beating well.
Beat in milk and vanilla. Gradually beat in the remaining powdered sugar. Then beat in additional milk, if necessary, to make frosting spreadable.
