Snow White Frosting
|Sugar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Water||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Cream of tartar||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
In 2-cup glass measure combine sugar, water, cream of tartar, and salt.
Insert temperature probe and cook on 70 (roast) set at 200°.
In small mixing bowl, beat egg whites with electric mixer until soft peaks form.
Gradually add hot syrup to egg whites, beating continuously.
Continue beating 5 minutes, or until frosting is thick and fluffy.
While beating, add vanilla. Spread over cake or cupcake.
