|Light corn syrup||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Sugar||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Cream of tartar||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Vanilla extract||1 Teaspoon|
Combine first 5 ingredients in double boiler over medium heat.
Begin beating immediately and beat until mixture stands in soft peaks (5 to 10 minutes).
Remove from heat.
Set in pan of ice water; continue beating as mixture cools.
Add vanilla and stir well.
