Penuche Frosting

Ingredients
  Butter 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Packed brown sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Milk 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Powdered sugar 3 Cup (48 tbs), sifted
Directions

In medium saucepan melt butter or margarine; stir in brown sugar.
Bring to boiling, stirring constantly.
Add milk; beat vigorously till smooth.
Beat in enough powdered sugar to make of spreading consistency.
Quickly frost cake.
Frosts tops of two 8- or 9-inch layers or one 13x9x2-inch cake.
