Butter Cream Frosting
|Butter/Margarine||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) (1 stick)|
|Sugar||1 Pound (confectioners' powdered, sifted)|
|Milk||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Vanilla||1 1⁄2 Teaspoon|
1. Beat butter or margarine in a medium-size bowl until soft with electric mixer at high speed.
2. Add 10X sugar, alternately with milk and vanilla, until smooth. Suggested Variations: lemon butter CREAM€”Substitute 2 tablespoons lemon juice for 2 tablespoons of the milk in BUTTER CREAM frosting and add 2 teaspoons grated lemon rind. orange butter cream Substitute 2 tablespoons orange juice for 2 tablespoons of the milk in butter cream frosting and add 2 teaspoons grated orange rind, strawberry butter
