Seven Minute Frosting
|Sugar||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Water||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Light corn syrup||2 Tablespoon|
1. Combine sugar, water, egg whites, corn syrup, salt and vanilla in top of double boiler; beat until blended.
2. Place over simmering water; cook, beating constantly with an electric mixer at high speed, 7 minutes, or until mixture triples in volume and holds firm marks of beater; remove from heat.
3. Spread on cake at once, while frosting is fluffy and light.
