Butter Cream Frosting
|Butter||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), softened|
|Confectioner' s sugar||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
Combine all ingredients and beat with an electric beater at high speed until smooth and thick.
If the frosting is too thin, add additional confectioners' sugar.
VARIATION i: To make Coffee Butter Cream Frosting, substitute 1 teaspoon instant coffee for vanilla.
VARIATION ii: To make Chocolate Butter Cream Frosting, melt 1/2 cup semi sweet chocolate pieces over hot, not boiling, water.
Beat frosting, then stir in melted chocolate.
