Classic Creamy Chocolate Frosting
|Butter/Margarine||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Unsweetened chocolate||1 Ounce (2 square)|
|Powdered sugar||2 Cup (32 tbs), sifted|
|Evaporated milk||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Vanilla extract||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
Place butter and chocolate in top of a double boiler; bring water to a boil.
Reduce heat to low; cook until chocolate melts.
Add sugar, milk, and salt; beat at medium speed of an electric mixer until smooth and thick enough to spread.
Stir in vanilla.
