Sea Foam Frosting

Ingredients
  Egg whites 1 , unbeaten
  Firmly packed brown sugar 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
  Salt 1 Dash
  Water 1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)
  Vanilla 1 Teaspoon
Directions

Combine egg whites, sugar, salt, and water in top of double boiler.
Beat with sturdy egg beater or electric beater 1 minute to mix thoroughly.
Then place over boiling water and beat constantly with egg beater (or at high speed of electric mixer) 7 minutes, or until frosting will stand in stiff peaks. (Stir frosting up from bottom and sides of pan occasionally.) Remove from boiling water.
Add vanilla and beat 1 minute, or until thick enough to spread.
