Vanilla Frosting

Ingredients
  Confectioners sugar 3 Cup (48 tbs)
  Vegetable shortening 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Vanilla 2 Teaspoon
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Milk 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
Directions

In bowl, combine 1 cup of the sugar, the vegetable shortening, vanilla, and salt.
Alternately add milk and remaining sugar; mix until smooth and creamy.
Add more sugar to thicken or milk to thin if needed for good spreading consistency.
Frosts tops and sides of two 8 or 9 inch layers.
