Prepare pudding mix according to package direc- tions; cool.
Fold in whipped cream.
Cut through peel of each orange to orange pulp in 6 equal parts, cut- ting 3/4 of the way to bottom.
Remove orange from rind, leaving rind whole.
Cut orange rinds in petal shape.
Fill each orange rind with pudding; place on serving dish.
Separate orange into sections and place orange sections on top of pudding.
Garnish with slivered almonds if desired.
