|All purpose flour||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), sifted|
|Fat||1 Cup (16 tbs) (for deep frying)|
|Butter/Margarine||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs), melted|

1)In a large bowl beat eggs until frothy.
2)Add cheese, bread crumbs, flour, sugar, Salt, nutmeg and melted butter. Mix until smooth.
3)Make 1-inch balls of the dough and place a cherry in center of each.
4)In a pan, heat fat and drop fritters into it.
5)Cook for about 2 minutes, turning occasionally, until golden brown. Drain.
6)Sprinkle confectioners' sugar and serve immediately.
