Ingredients
  Sifted all purpose flour 2 1⁄2 Cup (40 tbs)
  Baking powder 1 Teaspoon
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Eggs 2 , beaten
  Milk 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
  Lard 2 Cup (32 tbs) (For Frying)
Directions

Combine first 5 ingredients.
Drop by tablespoonfuls into deep hot lard (375° F.
on a frying thermometer) and fry until brown, for 3 or 4 minutes.
Serve warm with maple syrup or stewed fruit.
