Savory Clam Fritters

|Oil||2 Cup (32 tbs) (For Frying)|
|Tartar sauce||250 Milliliter (1 Cup)|
Put the clams in a saucepan with a little water and set over moderate heat for about 7 minutes.
Remove the clams from the shells and pat them dry, discarding any that have not opened.
Heat the oil to 375°F (100°C).
Dip the clams into the batter and deep fry for about 4 minutes or until golden.
Arrange the clams in a basket lined with a napkin and garnish with lemon and parsley.
Serve with tartar sauce.
