Clam Fritters With Tomato Sauce

Ingredients
  All purpose flour 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Baking powder 2 Teaspoon
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
  Pepper 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Minced clams 10 1⁄2 Ounce (1 Can)
  Milk 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Eggs 2 , well beaten
  Melted butter/Margarine 1 Tablespoon
  Fat 1 Tablespoon (For Deep Frying)
  Canned tomato sauce 8 Ounce (1 Can)
  Worcestershire 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Lemon juice 1 Teaspoon
Directions

Sift flour, baking powder, salt, and pepper together.
Drain broth from clams into measuring cup and add enough milk to make 3/4 cup.
Add to eggs; stir into flour mixture and beat thoroughly.
Add clams and butter.
Drop by spoonfuls into hot deep fat (375°F.on frying thermometer) and fry until golden brown.
Serve with tomato sauce heated with remaining ingredients
