Old Fashioned Corn Fritters

Ingredients
  Eggs 3
  Corn kernels 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  All purpose flour 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Sugar 1 Teaspoon
  Butter/Margarine 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs), melted
  Salt To Taste
  Salad oil 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Maple syrup 1 Tablespoon
Directions

In a bowl, beat together eggs, corn, flour, sugar, and 1 tablespoon of the butter.
Season to taste with salt.
Pour 1 1/2 tablespoons of the butter and 2 tablespoons of the oil into a wide frying pan over medium-high heat.
When fat is hot, drop batter into pan in 1 1/2-tablespoon portions.
Cook until bottoms are well browned and tops look slightly dry (about 3 minutes); turn over and cook until bottoms are well browned (2 to 3 more minutes).
Lift from pan and keep warm.
Heat remaining butter and oil in pan and cook remaining batter.
