Corn Fritters

Corn Fritters has a Piquant taste. The egg and corn gives the Corn Fritters Striking taste.
Ingredients
  Egg 1
  Milk 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Whole kernel corn 1 Can (10 oz)
  Vegetable shortening 1 Tablespoon, melted
  Flour 1 Cup (16 tbs), sifted
  Sugar 1 Tablespoon
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Baking powder 1 Teaspoon
  Vegetable shortening 1 Cup (16 tbs) (For Deep Frying)
Directions

In bowl, combine egg and milk.
Stir in corn and melted vegetable shortening.
Combine flour, sugar, salt, and baking powder; add to egg mixture; stir just to evenly distribute ingredients.
Drop from tablespoon, a few at a time, into deep vegetable shortening heated to 375° .
Fry until golden and cooked through, 4 to 5 minutes.
Drain on paper toweling.
