Corn Fritters With Honey
|Milk||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Sugar||1 1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Butter||1 1⁄2 Tablespoon, melted|
|Whole kernel corn||1 Can (10 oz) (Drained)|
|All purpose flour||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Cake flour||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Vegetable oil||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Baking powder||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
Beat the egg until light.
Add the milk and melted butter.
Sift the flours, baking powder, salt, and sugar together.
Add to the egg mixture.
Add the drained corn.
Refrigerate the batter for at least 2 hours.
Drop by tablespoonfuls into deep hot fat (375Â° F.) and fry for 3 to 5 minutes.
Do not fry more than 4 or 5 fritters at a time.
Drain on paper towels.
Serve with warm honey.
