Low Carb Celery Root French Fries

Celery root can make a delicious low carb French Fry. It can also be used as a substitute for scalloped potatoes and potato flakes.
  Celery root 2 (peeled and chopped)
  Olive oil 2 Tablespoon
  Garlic powder 1 Teaspoon
  Cayenne powder 1 Pinch
  Salt and pepper To Taste

1. Preheat the oven to 300 degree F.

2. In a baking dish, place the chopped celery roots. Pour olive oil over the celery roots.
3. Add Garlic powder, cayenne powder and season with salt and pepper. Mix well and spread it out in the baking dish.
4. Bake in the oven at 300 degree F for 60-70 minutes.

5. Serve the Celery Root French Fries hot.

These Celery French Fries look delicious ! Cutting the celery root into these regular shapes might be a mighty big task. Is it soft enough to cut with a knife? Like potato fries these fries are not deep fried in oil. Why do you call them fries ...when they are bakes ? No offense :):)

It would have been nice to see the process of peeling and slicing that root up. I am curious as to how difficult or easy that part of it might be!

Hey, I like these healthy celery root fries. With all others I agree that cutting these into regualr shapes may be pretty difficult.
