Vegetable Fries

Ingredients
  Sweet potato 4 Ounce, peeled and sliced into 3- by 1/2-inch strips (1 Small One)
  Turnip 4 Ounce, peeled and sliced into 2- by 3/8-inch strips (1 Medium)
  Parsnip 4 Ounce, peeled and sliced into 3- by 3/8-inch strips (1 Medium One)
  Vegetable oil 4 Tablespoon
  Salt To Taste
Directions

1. Place vegetables in a bowl of cool water and let stand 10 minutes. Drain. Dry off thoroughly with paper towels.
2. Fill a large deep saucepan with 1 1/2 inches of oil. Heat to 365°F. Add about one-third of the vegetables and fry until golden brown, 3 to 4 minutes. Drain on paper towels. Repeat with remaining vegetables. Season with salt to taste.
